TLX Powertrains
FWD: The 2022 TLX houses a direct injected 272 horsepower VTEC® turbocharged engine that delivers torque down low and through the entire rev range. It's paired with a 10-speed transmission for quicker acceleration, sharper throttle response, and seamless gear changes.
SH-AWD: Super Handling All-Wheel Drive™ (SH-AWD®) provides seamless power transitions and exhilarating agility. Enjoy the rush of high-performance cornering and the all-weather advantages of an advanced all-wheel drive system.
Type S: Standard SH-AWD®, an Adaptive Damper System, and a tighter variable steering ratio sharpen the connection between your Type S and the road. An exhilaratingly potent 355-HP turbo V6 keeps you coming back for more.
 Suspension
When it comes to handling, the 2022 TLX makes no compromises. The new double-wishbone front suspension and available Adaptive Damper System deliver precision handling and powerful cornering grip over almost any road surface.
Chassis
The all-new Acura chassis is mated to an equally advanced new body structure, making the 2022 TLX the most rigid Acura sedan ever. Engineered with lightweight materials, the ultra-rigid structure gives the TLX the handling characteristics of a true sports sedan.
Brakes
Superior performance needs superior stopping power. The highly sophisticated electro-servo brake system derived directly from the NSX supercar is incorporated in the new TLX for precision braking through corners.
Type S
Quad exhaust outlets boldly signify the power under the hood of the Type S. To help maximize the use of all that power, exclusive high-performance chassis bracing, sport-tuned Adaptive Damper System, and Brembo® front 4-piston braking system deliver handling with pinpoint precision.
 Comfort: Get into the sweet spot for those daily drives and long cruises. The available softer dampers and reduced engine noise make comfort mode a smooth ride with exceptional handling and satisfying efficiency.
Normal: Take charge of your direct, sport-tuned ride with a firm steering feel and a heightened drive-by-wire throttle response.
Sport: Unleash the full power of the TLX in sport mode. Take complete control in manual mode with paddle shifters and experience a more assertive shifting algorithm.
Individual: Customize up to five vehicle performance settings to dial in shifting, throttle response, available damper settings, and available ambient interior lighting to your precise specifications.
Sport+: A level of high-performance exclusive only to Type S that sharpens throttle response, holds gears longer, and opens up the exhaust outlet valves for a satisfying engine note.

Sculpted Design
The TLX commands attention. A long, sculpted hood, wider body, and a lower, athletic stance give the TLX an unmistakable road presence. The available rear spoiler and exposed dual exhaust finishers only heighten its performative character.

The A-Spec celebrates performance with design detail that levels up your drive. The enhanced sport seats with black Ultrasuede®-trim, piano black spoiler, flat-bottom sport steering wheel, and LED fog lights give the A-Spec a more aggressive edge.
Premium Paint
Complete your TLX with a premium paint finish in Performance Red Pearl, Majestic Black Pearl, Phantom Violet Pearl, Platinum White Pearl, Apex Blue Pearl or the Type S exclusive Tiger Eye Pearl. This durable pigment is applied in a series of tinted clear coats for brilliant chromatic color that has a deep, rich finish.
Type S
The Type S is designed to direct airflow for maximized performance. The lower front splitter helps generate downforce for more traction while the Open Surface Diamond Pentagon Grille feeds air into the powerful turbo V6. The rear spoiler and lower diffuser work together to smooth airflow and reduce lift. Sculpted for speed, the TLX Type S demands to be driven.

Your TLX is equipped with a suite of innovative safety and driver-assistive technologies that help enhance driver awareness, avoid collisions, and mitigate the severity of an impact.
Collision Mitigation Braking Systemâ„¢ (CMBSâ„¢)
CMBSâ„¢ helps alert drivers when the potential for a frontal impact is determined and can even apply the brakes to help avoid or reduce the impact of a collision.
Road Departure Mitigation (RDM)
RDM alerts the driver to an unintentional departure from a detected lane or roadway. The feature is able to apply steering torque and the brakes to help keep the vehicle on the roadway.
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low-Speed Follow
ACC helps reduce driver fatigue by maintaining a set speed and interval from the vehicle detected ahead. The low-speed feature will bring the vehicle to a complete stop if the detected vehicle slows to a stop.
Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS)
LKAS can apply steering assistance at higher speeds, helping to keep your Acura centered in the detected lane.
Pedestrian Detection
The Pedestrian Detection system is part of CMBS and is used to help detect pedestrians and alerts the driver with audio and visual warnings. It may apply the brakes if needed to help avoid a collision.
Traffic Sign Recognition
Traffic Sign Recognition detects speed limit signs and displays that information on your dash and the available head-up display.
Traffic Jam Assist
Traffic Jam Assist can aid with steering at low speeds and will bring your vehicle to a complete stop then resume travelling again with the traffic ahead.
Blind Spot Information System
This available feature monitors the rear and sides of your TLX and can alert you to vehicles detected in adjacent lanes.
Rear Cross Traffic Monitor
When the TLX is in reverse, this feature combines the rear camera system and radar sensors to alert you to detected vehicles approaching from either side.
Surround-View Camera
The TLX gives you a 360 view of the space immediately around the car through the navigation display. Guidelines appear in your rear camera view to help you get in and out of tight spots.
