Performance
RDX Powertrains
FWD: The RDX is designed at its core to excite. The 2.0L VTEC ® Turbo engine pushes out a healthy 272-HP and 280 lb-ft of torque for thrilling acceleration and agility. The 10-speed transmission with paddle shifters puts the powerband in your hands. Available Adaptive Dampers elevate the confidence-inspiring ride.
SH-AWD: The available Super Handling All-Wheel Drive™ (SH-AWD®) bumps the performance of the RDX into a new class entirely. The 272-HP is connected to the road through all four tires. Advanced torque vectoring gives you precision control in the corners even in adverse weather conditions. With a max towing capacity of 1500 lbs, the RDX is as capable as you dare.
 Handling
The RDX is engineered to react. The available Adaptive Damper system has been retuned to be more dynamic. The IDS drive modes adjust the performance of the RDX for a multitude of conditions. Switch into Sport Mode for an even more responsive ride.
Steering
Dual-pinion, variable ratio electric power steering delivers an engaging drive with maximized control. Select Comfort Mode for easier steering inputs or Sport Mode for increased firmness and feedback.
Braking
The retuned iBooster braking system has improved stopping power and inspires more confidence. A firmer pedal feel creates a better connection between road and driver.

Select from four unique driving modes that keep the RDX ready for almost any condition.
Comfort: Easier steering inputs and a reduced engine note make Comfort Mode a smooth ride with exceptional handling and satisfying efficiency.
Normal: Find the perfect balance of a comfortable ride, agile handling, and throttle responsiveness for your daily drive.
Snow: Snow Mode helps you maintain traction and confidence by adjusting the amount of power going to each wheel so you're ready when winter arrives.
Sport: Tap into the full performance of the RDX in Sport Mode. Experience a more aggressive engine sound and increased steering feedback and torque vectoring with available Super Handling All-Wheel Driveâ„¢.
Exterior
Aggressive Design
The RDX is design in motion. Sleek body lines emanate from the striking Diamond Pentagon grille and draw your eyes along to the sculpted rear. LED-illuminated Dragon Tail taillights add a dramatic flair to the already bold design. Rectangular dual exhaust finishers complete the look for a premium presence on the road.
Jewel Eye® LED Headlights
The impressive front fascia is illuminated by brilliant Jewel Eye® LED Headlights and that keep their jewel-like appearance even when off. They cast a bright and natural light for superior down-road visibility. Chicane™ LED DRLs round off the design for a striking signature look.

Collision Mitigation Braking Systemâ„¢ (CMBSâ„¢)
CMBSâ„¢ helps alert drivers when the potential for a frontal impact is determined and can even apply the brakes to help avoid or reduce the impact of a collision.
Road Departure Mitigation (RDM)
RDM alerts the driver to an unintentional departure from a detected lane or roadway. The feature is able to apply steering torque and the brakes to help keep the vehicle on the roadway.
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low-Speed Follow
ACC helps reduce driver fatigue by maintaining a set speed and interval from the vehicle detected ahead. The low-speed feature will bring the vehicle to a complete stop if the detected vehicle slows to a stop.
 Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS)
LKAS can apply steering assistance at higher speeds, helping to keep your Acura centered in a detected lane.
Pedestrian Detection
The Pedestrian Detection system is part of CMBS and is used to help detect pedestrians and alerts the driver with audio and visual warnings. It may apply the brakes if needed to help avoid a collision.
Traffic Sign Recognition
Traffic Sign Recognition detects speed limit signs and displays that information on your dash and the available head-up display.
Blind Spot Information System
This available feature monitors the rear and sides of your RDX and can alert you to vehicles detected in adjacent lanes.
Rear Cross Traffic Monitor
When the RDX is in reverse, this feature combines the rear camera system and radar sensors to alert you to detected vehicles approaching from either side.
Surround-View Camera
The RDX gives you a 360 view of the space immediately around the car through the navigation display. Guidelines appear in your rear camera view to help you get in and out of tight spots.
Low Speed Braking Control
Low-Speed Braking Control can help bring your RDX to a stop when traveling at low speeds by automatically applying brake pressure when the system determines that either a frontal or rear collision is unavoidable.
