The all-new 2022 Acura MDX is now available!

Acura will not be producing a 2021 MDX, but will skip right to the 2022. The powertrain is a 290-hp 3.5-liter V6 engine with a 10-Speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive will also be available.

A Type S model will be available Summer 2021. It will have a turbocharged 355-hp 3.0-liter V6 engine and come standard with all-wheel drive. If you don't want the sporty flair, you can go for the Technology trim. This features leather upholstery with contrast stitching, adjustable interior ambient lighting, ELS Studio stereo system with 12 speakers, and low-speed front and rear automated emergency braking.

The new MDX has a more premium look than we have previously seen on the 2020 model. There is French-stitched leather on the dashboard in the higher-end trim. It also features open pore wood with metal and piano black accents. Dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, and leather upholstery are also present. Front seats can be equipped with 16-way power adjustability as well as massage. There is plenty of passenger space in the first and second rows.

It has a standard 12.3-inch infotainment display with a center-console-mounted touchpad controller, as well as a 12.3-inch digital reconfigurable gauge display. Other standard features are Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, in-dash navigation, WiFi hotspot, and a wireless smartphone charging pad.

The ELS studio stereo system is included on the Tech trim, but the A-Spec and Advanced models get a 16-speaker ELS Studio 3D setup. Standard driver assistance features are automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control.
