By now, most Acura enthusiasts are familiar with the Type S concept. But this visionary vehicle is more than just a concept; it's the very embodiment of Acura's future. In this blog post, we'll be exploring all that the Acura Type S Concept has to offer!

With no models available in showrooms, it can be difficult to predict what the driving experience will be like. However, Acura's chief designer, Jon Ikeda has stated that, "From a performance perspective, we're going to continue to push the SH-AWD." Customers from all climates can appreciate this feature, not just those bogged down with difficult weather. We can't forget the turbocharged V-6 engine, which will give this sporty sedan a sharp edge in terms of performance.
As expected, the Acura Type S Concept is an absolute showstopper. Sloping, sleek, and perfectly geometric, it's a feast for the eyes. With its low stance and angular lines, onlookers inherently know its fast. The signature diamond grille brings the whole design together with subtle power.
Overall, performance aesthetics are more prevalent on the exterior, but the interior should not be swept to the side by any means! Drivers can expect a sleek and stylish cabin, with artistic details and amenities for miles. You can get an idea from previous A-Spec packages. There will be hints from the NSX as well as the ARX-05 (an IMSA prototype race car). Some of that inspiration comes to life in the dramatic lighting, low posture, side sills, rear decklid spoiler, and blacked-out windows.

?Experts at Automobile Magazine speculate that the Type S trim will be applied to two other models as well, one possibly being a crossover. They are said to have quicker acceleration, nimbler handling, and stronger braking performance than previous Acura models!

While the Type S remains a concept now, Acura has confirmed that it previews the next-generation TLX, estimated to arrive in 2021! Drivers can expect many similarities between their new TLX and the Type S, an excellent taste of what's to come in the future.
